One Portsoken Street, London

As an architectural photographer in London, I’m blessed to be offered opportunities to shoot a range of incredible projects. Presenting One Portsoken Street, a Brutalist architectural building spanning over 230,000sq.ft. Redefining the boundaries of office design and build, it’s the largest project of its kind in the UK. Working with Oktra and lead designer Monika Passey, finalist for Best Women In Architecture in the 2021 WICE Awards, my photography began back in 2019 with coverage of the deserted building. Upon scouting the incredible space, the scale of the work required was immensely apparent.

2021 saw the completion of the project. In order to preserve the building’s history, a full restoration of its original design elements was undertaken, complimented by all modern finishes being kept neutral to better compliment the design. A selection of standout features include exposed concrete and steel beams, circular turrets and a stunning naturally-lit space on the top floor, featuring amazing views of the city through the atrium’s original glass roof.
